ORGANIZATION OF THE CURRICULUM
Secondary School
A strong start before orientation
From 7th grade (Harmos), all secondary school pupils complete four years of a core curriculum before selecting their options at the end of 10th grade (Harmos). This ensures that pupils not only understand their level, but also choose a course that reflects their potential.
After the core four-year cycle, pupils move on to 9th grade (Harmos) to study their chosen options. Lemania Secondary School takes a personal approach to options and guidance, helping pupils succeed in line with their diverging abilities and motivation levels.
Teaching methods
Our secondary school approach focuses on the pupil’s personality. We seek to develop individual potential rather than using strict teaching methods.
A trust-based relationship between pupils and teachers is essential to help children thrive. That is why the teachers at Lemania College Secondary School listen to pupils’ needs and set work at the right pace and level for the children. We teach our pupils to work in teams, while at the same time helping them become independent learners.
We also believe in the importance of rules and routine, as this helps create a calm, focused environment. Through our approach, we have built up significant expertise – something from which all our pupils benefit.
Lemania College Secondary School offers an outstanding education:
- Staff who track progress thoroughly and treat each child as an individual, helping them thrive
- Ongoing dialogue with pupils and parents
- Focus on core subjects
- Talented, attentive and motivated teachers
- Stimulating working environment
Curriculum
Particular emphasis is placed on English. Thus, from the 7th grade (Harmos) onwards, science teaching is essentially taught in English. This focus represents a unique and stimulating opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the language to enrich and broaden their knowledge while following the pre-established science curriculum. The learning of English is thus optimized.
Interdisciplinary digital work: The goal of this group work is to emphasize the importance today of data research, analysis and synthesis, while developing a sense of collaboration in participatory learning. The Internet and computers are becoming indispensable tools.
