Language courses
The Director of Daytime Language Courses has another role as Director of the Summer Camp.
What language courses do you offer?
With more than 80 years of experience in the field of intensive French and English courses, our language school leads in a professional, qualitative and personalized way teenagers, students and professionally active people to progress rapidly in the mastery of the language. We are located in downtown Lausanne, 5 minutes walk from the main train station, which is an asset to make our courses accessible to everyone.
Who are your teachers?
Our French teachers are native French speakers, certified and university graduates. Our English teachers are certified native English teachers with university degrees.
What type of intensive program do you offer?
We offer two types of intensive programs that take place in the morning, Monday through Friday. Our students can choose a 15-hour or 20-hour intensive language program per week. At the end of each course, students receive a language certificate from Lemania School mentioning the level they have reached and attesting to their progress. Our students and learners can also take French tests such as DELF or DALF or English tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, or the B2 First.
Do you have a housing solution?
The students of the language course are welcome at the boarding school of the Lemania School. Our students have access to proximity and all the assets of Lausanne’s city: shopping, museums, universities, libraries, cultural and leisure facilities, banks, pharmacies, airport, train station. Our boarding school has a capacity of 50 places. Boarding students are supervised by qualified staff in the evening studies; a private gym, located 10 minutes away from the Lemania Campus, is also at their disposal at all times.
Students of the language courses who stay at the boarding school can benefit from the weekend activities. They can choose from a wealth of sports, leisure activities, or cultural activities such as visiting cities and museums.
Students from intensive language courses are also mixed at the boarding school with students from other programs such as the International Baccalaureate, the Swiss Maturity, or the French Baccalaureate. These students are all bilingual, which encourages cultural exchanges and synergy between talents, all in an idyllic setting in downtown Lausanne!
